Hair and Makeup Looks from The 2020 SAG Awards

Each year, the Screen Actors Guild Awards signify that we're nearing the end of awards season. By now, celebrities have been walking red carpets all winter long — which means it's time for things to get interesting. We have our eyes peeled for striking hairstyles, innovative makeup, and any of the other red carpet surprises that make Hollywood's craziest time of the year so much fun for the rest of us.

The SAGs honor both film and television, which means we'll get double the dosage of glamorous beauty looks tonight. The cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel leads the night with four nominations, and The Crown and The Morning Show have three nominations each, which means Rachel Brosnahan, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Helena Bonham Carter will all be bringing their beauty A-game. As for movies, Bombshell is the favorite going in to this evening, with nominations for Charlize Theron, Margot Robbie, and Nicole Kidman — all of whom we trust to wow us with beauty looks we'll be thinking about for the rest of 2020.

Kathryn Newton

Big Little Lies star Kathryn Newton brightened up the red carpet in a creamy orange color palette with the springtime shade on her cheeks, lips, and lids. To balance out her voluminous gown, she kept her hair chicly pulled back into a sophisticated twist.

Jenna Lyons

As one of the evening's red carpet hosts, designer Jenna Lyons set the tone for an evening of fun, fresh beauty looks. She slicked her hair back, adding two tight braids on top, kept her eyebrows ultra-light, and drew all attention to her hot pink lips.

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown isn't just a SAG nominee, she's a walking advertisement for her beauty brand Florence by Mills. The Stranger Things star kept her look simple and glowy tonight thanks to makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan, who prepped her skin with Babor Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule Concentrates.

Merrin Dungey

Big Little Lies' Merrin Dungey is a sparkly vision in pink sequins and a matching soft pink makeup color palette. To complete the look, she wore her braids half-back and piled atop her head, leaving a few face-framing, lighter strands up front.

Christina Applegate

I'm going to need the name of Christina Applegate's highlighter immediately. The pinkish, shimmery hue lights up her cheeks and pairs well with her rose lip and black-and-white gown.

Chloe Coleman

Awards season is over, an 11-year-old just shut down the red carpet, and we can all go home. Coleman's baby hairs and voluminous curls alone would have been enough to win the evening, but the diamond hair clips take her look to all-star status. And she's wearing a bolo tie. We are all in the presence of a future style icon.

Priah Ferguson

Stranger Things' Priah Ferguson is pink and playful on the SAG Awards red carpet. She's in a perfect 13-year-old's hair and makeup look: shimmery pink eye shadow and lip gloss paired with a hot pink bow.

Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter was dripping in the three best kinds of diamonds — earrings, a tiara, and bejeweled sunglasses. It's hard to focus on anything besides those fabulous specs, but her bright pink lipstick is a close second favorite.

Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour is the picture of Hollywood glamour in her long, just barely textured waves and signature side bangs. She matched her diamond drip earrings to her LSD (little silver dress, of course) and silver shadow.

Lupita Nyong'o

Every single one of Nyong'o's details tonight deserves a second glance. We love her silver winged-out liner and matching nails and the diamond drip she's got going on, plus her beautiful sculpted waves courtesy of stylist Vernon François using Dyson and Matrix products.

Joey King

Joey King stepped onto the SAG red carpet serving a mix of Black Swan and black tie wedding where your ex is also on the guest list. Makeup artist Allan Avendaño used Urban Decay products to created the dark and smokey look.

Reese Witherspoon

Let's call Reese Witherspoon's style tonight the almost-wet look. Stylist Lona Vigi used Olivia Garden tools to keep her roots sleek, then let a bit of texture and flip sneak in at the ends. We also love her fuchsia lipstick, which pops even brighter thanks to her black and silver gown.

Cynthia Erivo

Best Actress nominee Cynthia Erivo let her radiant skin take center stage on the red carpet. The shine extends from her brow to her cheeks to her lips, and is emphasized even more by her barely-there bleached brows. We can only hope that she'll drop the skin-care routine in her award speech.

Alexis Bledel

Burgundy never looked so good on a red carpet. Alexis Bledel told one solid color story tonight, with her Victorian-style burgundy gown, matched with wine- colored lips and a tinge of red to her brown hair and brows.

Margot Robbie

Roots have a place on the red carpet — just ask Margot Robbie. The Supporting Actress nominee let her brown hair peek through her fringey topknot, and even accented the color with a light brown lip.

Natalia Dyer

Makeup artist Fiona Stiles describes Dyer's SAG Awards beauty as "sooty eyes, lots of lashes, a well-sculpted brow and gorgeous skin, bringing a little rock n’ roll royalty vibe to the look.” Dyer's glowy skin comes from Kosas Tinted Face Oil, while her lip shade is a three-part combination of Kosas Weightless Lip Color in Vegas and in Rosewater, topped with Kosas Wet Lip Oil Gloss in Jellyfish for shine.
