Celebrities Who Prove that Rose-Gold Hair Works on Everyone

Curated by Claudia Shannon / Research Scientist / ishonest

Rose-gold hair has been trending for a while, and we couldn't be more pleased. The shimmering fusion of blonde and pink hues is becoming the beauty statement of choice for hip folks of all stripes, famous and otherwise. The best part? There are so many different ways to get the look and make it your own.

For instance, you can do an allover hue, dye just your ends, or even just add a few well-placed streaks throughout your hair. But however you choose to wear or style your rose-gold hair, chances are, you're going to look cool as hell.

It can be hard to keep up (yeah, we know what we did there) with Kylie Jenner's many hairstyles, but one thing is for certain: When she wears pink hair, she does it well. This dreamy rose hue is a soft pastel that starts off light at the roots and gradually gets darker at the ends. Safe to say that out of all the colors she's worn, this is one of our favorites.

Platinum Pink

Nicki Minaj's cotton candy hair at the 2019 Met Gala was what unicorn dreams are made of. The rapper went for an icy-pink hue that complemented the rest of her all-pink ensemble flawlessly.

All's Well That Ends Well

Khloé Kardashian celebrated the launch of little sister Kylie Jenner's skin-care range with a mile-long pink ponytail. The reality TV star's color starts with a more intense pink at the crown of her head, then fades away to that pink-blonde rose-gold hue we're in love with.

Rosy Golden-Bronze

Model Iskra Lawrence ditched her signature blonde hue last year in Cannes, France, for a decidedly darker (albeit no less stunning) rose-toned shade. If you live in the U.K. and want to achieve a similar look, you can use the L'Oréal Paris Preference Infinia at-home coloring system in the shade 8.23, which is what Lawrence says she used to get this gorgeous hue. Or, if you're feeling a bit more crafty, learn how you can DIY a beautiful new shade without bleaching your whole head (I promise, it's possible).

Kylie Jenner is known to use wigs to switch up her hairstyle, length, and color quite often. Of the various colors and textures she's worn, we love how this rose-gold unit went with her neutral-hued ensemble. We're thinking Jenner should probably give this one another go.

Faded Sunset

We told you Kylie Jenner likes to change up her hair. Here, the reality star tried a blonder version of the hue on for size. This take is far more subtle: There are streaks of pale pink woven throughout her strands.

Strawberry Streaks

If Kylie Jenner's streaks were a little too low-key for you, take a page from Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner's book. The actress hit Coachella in 2017 with streaks of pink all through her blonde hair. And these aren't blink-and- you'll-miss'-em highlights. No, these streaks are made for you to sit up and take notice.

Pink Lemonade

If you're partial to a hue on the lighter side of the rose-gold spectrum, look no further than Taryn Manning's hair-color. The blonde undertones are what really makes this color shine, giving the highlighted pieces a kind of shimmery effect.

Watermelon

I've been drinkin' watermelon... and yet I'm still thirsty as hell for this pink hair Gigi Hadid tried out. The varying intensities of pink gave the model's rose-gold wig a dynamic look.

Classic Rose Gold

Here, Hailey Bieber shows off a classic rose-gold hue. But what we love most about her dye job are the dark roots, which anchor the whole thing. Hey, you'd be smugly sipping tea too if your hair looked as fantastic this.

Desert Rose

If you were feeling Iskra Lawrence's darker take on rose gold, you'll love this "desert rose"-colored hair done by Nikki Lee. Here, the blonder parts of her hair skew more strawberry blonde, giving this color a moodier feel.

Ballet Slipper Streaks

You wanna talk streaks? Hilary Duff's got some right here for you. The actress's take on rose-gold includes a lot of pink. You can see the lighter blonde ombré peeking out through the soft touches of rose. This kind of reminds us of a delicious tub of Neapolitan ice cream.

Kate Hudson's hair color is serving vibes of a more grown-up, sophisticated Strawberry Shortcake. We love how the pink is ombré'd through the midsection and end ends of the hair, and how you can see just a hint of rose closer to her hairline, framing her face.

Unicorn Pink

Halsey isn't afraid to experiment with her hair, and we particularly loved this rose gold look she sported. It's heavy on the pink, but the lighter highlights pull the intensity back ever so slightly.

All-Over Rose

You don't always have to match your brows to your hair (we love the look of a platinum blonde crown with a darker brow), but we love how Kaley Cuoco tinted hers to go with her rose-gold dye job.

Petal Pink

Amber Le Bon went ultra-light with her rose-gold color. Her platinum blonde base is really, really bright, acting as a contrast against her tan skin. The pink softens the starkness of the blonde, creating a softer, more wearable hue.
